Figure skating is unlike any other sport. It is graceful, yet full of strength. Beautiful, yet strong. The goal is to make jumps and spins look easy, when in reality they are harder than anything skaters face in life. One wrong edge, one wrong placement of any body part, and a jump can fail. Skating is about confidence, grace, hope, trust, strength, and commitment.

"The second I stood up and the crowd starting cheering, I had to finish." - An Olympic quote from Men’s Figure Skater Jeremy Abbott

Figure skating is the closest you can get to defying gravity.

I’m glad it’s not just me who makes an awkward face while jumping

Excuse me, judges?

This is Adelina Sotnikova’s free skating score sheet.

I know it’s a subjective sport, but seeing a “3” besides a “0” is too ridiculous, especially when it comes to such a controversial competition result.

Note how -1,0,1,2,3 are ALL present in the same row.

People are saying there’s a Russian judge in the competition, I don’t know if it’s true.

But if this is not home advantage, if this is not bias, if this is not unfairness, I don’t know what is.
